Children's Ministry

The mission of Wellspring’s Children’s Ministry is to “love children in the name of Jesus and teach them to love Jesus and one another.” We are dedicated to teaching, growing, and nurturing ALL children who step through our doors.

                                            On Sunday mornings, we offer the following:

                              Sunday School from 9:15 – 10:10
                              Children’s Church from 10:45 – 11:30 (coincides with Blended Service)

At Wellspring, we openly place children as our first priority. We are dedicated to loving, teaching, growing and nurturing ALL children who step through our doors. We value parent and interested adult participation and strive to make your volunteer time with Children's Ministries an educated, blessed and happy time.

Children are welcome on Sunday mornings at 9:15 to participate in age-appropriate Sunday School activities. We meet in large and small groups to facilitate learning with the inclusion of all voices. Here at Wellspring we seek in the name of Jesus to prepare our children to love one another as Jesus loves us all. 

We welcome children to be present with their parents during the worship service.  Through prayer and participation children learn by watching and listening what it can mean to worship God as an adult. Throughout the year Wellspring plans include special opportunities for children to be a part of the leadership and practice of our worship services.

During our 10:30 a.m. Blended Worship Service, we reach a point where we transition from worship to teaching. Following our Children's Moment led by Pastor Kevin, or one of our caring members, children ages 3 through second grade are given the opportunity to move to Children's Church or remain in service with their parents. Children's Church is a place where Pastor Kevin's sermons are presented in an age appropriate format to facilitate children's inclusion in family discussions both on the way home and throughout the week.

For those children who decide to remain in service there are Bible Blast Notebooks located in tubs at the back of the sanctuary. Our Bible Blast Notebooks are packed with activities for creative minds, agile fingers, and multi-tasking ears.
