Next Summer YOUTH Mission Trip ~ ASP 2010!

Volunteer for a week with ASP and you'll come back a different person. You'll have new skills, new friends and a whole new confidence in yourself. Best of all, you'll have a deeper, stronger faith in God.

You see, every summer more than 13,000 teens like you, come to Appalachia to make homes safer, warmer and drier. And ASP makes sure every step of the trip is a real adventure - and a total blast.

At night you'll crash in one of ASP's several base camps - often a school or community center rented for the summer to put you closer to Appalachia's remote communities. And after a hearty supper, you'll enjoy time to hang with your friends, to worship, sing, play games or just think about your Appalachian family and how much you've learned.

During the day, you'll work alongside your friends to lay shingles, replace linoleum, fix foundations and so much more. Your group will get all the tools, construction materials and supervision you need to be productive. Even you've never even swung a hammer before, don't worry - we'll have you working like a pro in no time.

But ASP is not just about building - it's about relationships. You'll spend a lot of time interacting with the family you've been assigned to serve. You'll have fun, share meals, forge friendships and learn lessons that will impact you for the rest of your life.

You'll find out how people who are a less privileged than you live - and come home  feeling so much better about
yourself, your family, your whole life. More important, you'll feel closer to God - and ready to look for new ways to give
back to your school, church, your whole community.

In other words, you'll come back a whole new you!

We will leave June 26 and return early on July 4.  Please email Andy Stern at fumcroldguy@yahoo.com with questions.
