New to Wellspring?

Your First Visit to Wellspring

It's never easy to walk into a place you've never been to, and unfortunately, churches are not immune to this.

We work hard at Wellspring to help you feel right at home. So, in order to help you feel a little more comfortable before you ever even step foot in the door, we'd like to answer some basic questions that you might be thinking about.

Q: Where's the church?
A: We meet in Baker Elementary School (3125 Blue Wood Dr.) in McKinney. See our Map & Directions page for more help.

Q: What do I wear?
A: Ultimately, we want you to be comfortable, to be YOU. On a Sunday morning with us, you could see everything from business suits or dresses to t-shirts and shorts. There are no expectations to meet.

Q: When do I arrive?
A: Sunday school starts at 9:15 am and our blended worship service starts at 10:30 am, but we invite you to come a little early to enjoy some hot coffee and something to nibble on from our "Welcome Ministry" and visit with the welcoming people of Wellspring.

Q: What about my children?
A: Children are a blessing at Wellspring! We invite and encourage you to bring your children with you. Wellspring offers Sunday School for children pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. There is a nursery available for children younger than three. During Sunday School, your children will receive a fun lesson that focuses on biblical truths and includes music, movement, and more. Children of all ages are also welcome to stay with their parents during the service.

During the worship service, children will begin the service in the sanctuary, enjoying the fellowship and music with you as a family. Then children are invited to participate in Children's Time with one of our outstanding staff, where they will receive a kid-friendly message. After this time, children may choose to attend Children's Church, located in the gym, for the remainder of the service - freeing you up to listen and enjoy a spiritual renewal through Pastor Kevin's message. In Children's Church, the message of the sermon is brought to a developmentally appropriate level and also includes music and movement.

For children who choose to stay in worship with their families, Wellspring offers Bible Blast Notebooks, located on a table in back of the sanctuary. Each notebook is labeled with an appropriate age range and is filled with puzzles, coloring pages, and objects for creative minds.

For children 0-36 months, we have our quality nursery care. We want you to feel comfortable entrusting your infants, crawlers, and toddlers to the care of our loving members in the nursery.

For nursing mothers, there's a comfortable, discreet "Den" in the Nursery. A changing station is available in the nursery.

Q: Where do I park?
A: The school has two parking lots: one in the front and one in the back. We have spaces in the front parking lot (off Blue Wood Dr.) that are saved for our Visitors. If that lot is full, feel free to park along the street or in the rear parking lot.

Q: More unanswered questions?
A: Please feel free to contact us with any questions you might have. You can email us (info@wellspringumc.com) or call the church line (972-741-9035). We will return your email or phone call in less than 24 hours.
